AboutMyBaby is the logical and passionate result when you mix internet geeks and parenthood.

This is Doug.

Doug has worked for a big, well-known Internet for more than 8 years, building products for people - home pages, chat, personals and stuff like that. A bunch of years ago, he started a blog, and found that, oddly, using the Web as a personal diary just seemed to work for him, and he started to write about the stuff that happened in his life.

Then Doug and his wife Chona had Kaya in June of 2002.

Hello, Kaya.

Doug found himself snapping pictures, recording video, and writing down all the wonderful new things that Kaya was discovering and doing...but he had no easy way to share these wonderful days with his family and friends. Plus, his lack of sleep was causing him to forget so much of these wonderful moments! Some of his really geeky friends had their own Website for their kids, but building your own web site took way too much time and was too complicated. What was a new Dad to do?

Enter Robert.

Robert, one of the guys behind the scenes at GeoCities, the Web's oldest and biggest home page companies, listened to Doug's complaints. Seemed logical enough, they agreed, but yet no one's doing it...why not? An easy-to-use scrapbook was a great idea; more importantly, Robert's wife Deborah liked the idea, too. So Doug and Robert called Phil.

Phil's one of those guys who just magically gets things done. All agreed that an online scrapbook would be fun to build, and they started hacking away.

Funny enough, now Deborah is pregnant, so Robert's AboutMyBaby site is getting constant updates.
